Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a fast-growing digital health product company focused on improving cardiovascular health outcomes.
The product combines applied science and technology to help users better understand and manage their heart health. The solution is already used at scale and continues to grow rapidly, which creates new challenges in infrastructure, scalability, and reliability.
You will play a key role in building, scaling, and securing a modern cloud infrastructure that supports data-heavy and ML-driven systems.
What you will do:
Build and maintain a production-ready ML pipeline and data lake
Improve and evolve build automation processes (transition from CI to full CD)
Design, scale, and secure Kafka clusters running on Kubernetes
Collaborate with engineering and security teams to improve infrastructure and compliance
Develop monitoring systems, dashboards, alerts, and internal tools
Identify and mitigate reliability and security risks in production systems
Tech stack:
Scala, Python, React Native
AWS, Kubernetes, Docker
Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis
Nginx, ELK, Prometheus
Jenkins and other CI/CD tools
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure roles
Strong production experience with AWS (or another major cloud provider)
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker in production
Programming experience with at least one of: Scala, Java, or Python
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures
Nice to have:
Experience with Kafka (clusters, streams)
Experience with ML pipelines or data platforms
Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code)
Experience with monitoring/logging tools (ELK, Prometheus, etc.)
