Junior Java AQA Engineer
We are looking for a Junior Java AQA Engineer to join our team and help build reliable automated tests for modern web products in fintech, AI, telecommunications, and healthcare domains.
This is a great opportunity to grow quickly into a strong automation engineer while working on real projects, real code, and real products under the mentorship of an experienced team.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain automated tests for web applications using Java with Playwright and/or Selenium
Cover key user flows with smoke and regression UI tests
Perform API testing and backend response validation
Analyze test results, identify issues, and create clear bug reports
Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to improve product quality
Participate in test case creation and gradually expand test coverage
Support test stability and assist with debugging activities
Continuously improve automation skills in a real project environment
Requirements
Commercial, pet-project, internship, or freelance experience with Java for at least 6 months
Understanding of software testing fundamentals
Basic experience or strong interest in test automation
Familiarity with Playwright, Selenium, or other UI automation tools
Understanding of Page Object Model (POM)
Basic understanding of HTML and CSS with the ability to locate web elements
Basic knowledge of REST API concepts, HTTP methods, status codes, and JSON
Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing and request validation
Basic Git knowledge: commit, push, pull
Attention to detail and motivation to write high-quality tests
English level: B1 or higher
Nice to Have
Experience with JUnit or TestNG
Basic SQL knowledge
Understanding of automation design patterns
Familiarity with Maven or Gradle
Basic understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
Experience with Allure Reports or similar reporting tools
Basic knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python
