Description
We are looking for a Hardware Engineer / Component Engineer with experience in BOM management, procurement support, and component selection.
Responsibilities:
Manage and update BOMs for hardware / IoT projects.
Support component selection based on availability, cost, lifecycle status, and project requirements.
Work with suppliers, distributors, and production vendors on component availability and alternatives.
Analyze datasheets and technical documentation.
Support component substitution decisions and validate alternatives with the engineering team.
Maintain manufacturing-related documentation.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in hardware engineering, component engineering, procurement support, or a similar role.
Experience managing BOMs and procurement-related processes.
Understanding of component substitution principles.
Ability to read datasheets and technical specifications.
Basic understanding of electrical circuits and electronic components.
Familiarity with PCB manufacturing / assembly processes.
English — Intermediate or higher.
Would be a plus:
Experience with IoT or embedded hardware projects.
Basic experience with Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle, or similar tools.
Understanding of microcontrollers, sensors, power management components, or communication modules.
