Production IT Specialist (Norway Relocation, Full Support Provided)

We are looking for an experienced IT Specialist to join our production site in Norway and support day-to-day IT operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, independently managing on-site IT processes, and supporting both production and office teams.
Responsibilities
Configure, prepare, and maintain IT equipment including laptops, phones, printers, monitors, and peripherals
Handle receiving, issuing, tracking, and inventory management of IT assets
Support employees with hardware, software, connectivity, and access-related issues
Work closely with the production team and support MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
Maintain accurate inventory and reporting records in Excel or asset management systems
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory and Microsoft 365
Troubleshoot Windows environments, networking issues, VPN connections, and production-line IT incidents
Coordinate with IT, engineering, procurement, and operations teams
Support printer setup and maintenance, including label printers (nice to have)
Work independently on-site without constant remote team supervision
Requirements
3+ years of experience in IT Support, IT Operations, or IT Asset Management
Experience with configuring and supporting:
Laptops and desktops
Mobile devices
Printers and peripherals
Hands-on experience with:
Windows 10/11
Basic Windows Server administration
Active Directory (users, groups, permissions)
Microsoft 365 / Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
Understanding of:
DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
VPN connections
Basic cybersecurity principles
Experience with:
Remote support tools (RDP, AnyDesk, TeamViewer)
Jira Service Management or similar Service Desk tools
Knowledge base systems such as Confluence
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a strong advantage
Familiarity with MES systems is highly desirable
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
English — Intermediate+ level or higher
Nice to Have
Experience supporting production-line IT infrastructure
Experience working with label printers
Experience in independent on-site IT operations
