About us:
We are Giraffe Software — an outstaff software development company with legal presence in Estonia (EU), providing dedicated engineering teams and long-term technology partnerships for international clients.
Currently, we are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join a long-term enterprise platform resource management project that is made for large companies who have many different projects running at the same time, which has lots of the resources that are interchangeable and could be assigned to different projects.
How the team works:
50% of working time aligned with the client’s time zone (USA)
Daily meetings in English with the team
What you’ll do:
Build and scale high-performance Python backend systems together with senior engineers, architects, and product stakeholders;
Develop backend services using Django, asynchronous processing, Celery, Redis, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch;
Design scalable distributed solutions and integrate third-party APIs;
Contribute to React-based frontend features and API integration workflows when needed;
Improve engineering processes through CI/CD automation, monitoring, and AWS-based infrastructure optimization;
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity, debugging, and refactoring workflows.
What we’re looking for:
6+ years of professional experience as a Python Developer;
strong hands-on experience with Django in production environments;
solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, relational data modeling, and query optimization;
experience with asynchronous/background processing using Celery and Redis;
practical experience with Elasticsearch or similar search technologies;
proven track record building high-performance APIs with FastAPI or other ASGI-based frameworks;
deep understanding of RESTful APIs and distributed systems design;
experience with CI/CD, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP);
NoSQL database skills — MongoDB, or similar;
React experience with a solid understanding of frontend architecture;
confident with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude;
Will be a plus:
Experience with SSO and Identity Providers(particularly Keycloak), GraphQL.
