Play.Works — the world’s largest Connected TV Influencer Video and Games Network — is looking for talented Game Developers to join our growing team.
Our mission is to inspire and entertain audiences through innovative gaming and video experiences across all major Connected TV platforms, including Comcast, AT&T, Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio, and Amazon. We are a UK-owned company with offices in London, Tel Aviv, and Kyiv.
About the Role
As a Developer at Play.Works, you will design, build and extend the PlayWorks core components like SDK and Frameworks, which are very important parts of the development process and used in casual games on the Roku and HTML5 platforms.
What You’ll Do
— Develop cross-platform SDK and Frameworks.
— Implement generic gameplay features and UI components based on technical and functional specifications.
— Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and backend developers to deliver great player experiences.
— Participate in code reviews, optimization, and performance
improvements.
— Contribute ideas to improve tools, workflows, and game quality.
Requirements
— 4+ years of software development experience.
— Proven experience developing casual or mobile games.
— Solid knowledge of JavaScript, NodeJS, TypeScript.
— Strong understanding of OOP, software design patterns, and client-server architecture.
— Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git, BitBucket).
— Intermediate+ English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Nice to Have
— BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
— Familiarity with BrightScript / SceneGraph (Roku).
— Skills in performance analysis and optimization.
