Senior Unity Engineer (Mobile Games)
Our client is a mobile gaming company building 2D games for iOS audiences worldwide. Their Unity team is responsible for gameplay systems, UI, animations, and the full in-game experience. They ship fast, iterate based on data, and build with modularity in mind.
We are looking for an experienced Unity Engineer who has shipped mobile games and knows the platform constraints cold. You'll be building and maintaining gameplay systems, implementing animations and UI, and working with Addressables to keep builds clean and modular. Strong C# and a practical mindset are a must.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain gameplay features, UI systems, and animations in Unity
Work with Unity Addressables and Unity Package Manager to manage assets and dependencies
Optimize game performance for mobile hardware (memory, draw calls, load times)
Collaborate with game designers to implement and iterate on game mechanics
Write clean, maintainable C# with an eye on scalability
Use AI tools daily to accelerate implementation and reduce repetitive work
Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation
Requirements
5+ years of experience building mobile games in Unity
Strong C# skills
Deep knowledge of Unity's scripting APIs, 2D tools, UI systems, and animation
Hands-on experience with Unity Addressables and Unity Package Manager
Understanding of mobile performance constraints and optimization techniques
Daily use of AI tools and coding agents
English: Upper-Intermediate or higher (B2+)
Nice to have
Experience with live ops or games-as-a-service products
Familiarity with analytics integration or A/B testing frameworks in games
Conditions
Full-time or part-time (3 days/week)
Remote with occasional travel to team offsites
