About the Project:
The customer is a prominent company in the security solutions sector, specializing in integrated security systems for various industries, including airports, hospitals, and manufacturing. They have a strong presence in Germany and are known for their innovative approach to physical security and access control.
The current project involves the modernization of the customer’s software applications. The company aims to enhance their existing products by updating the user interface and improving the backend architecture. This modernization effort is crucial for maintaining their competitive edge in the market and ensuring that their solutions meet the evolving needs of their clients.
As a backend developer, you will be responsible for developing a robust backend architecture using Spring Boot to ensure seamless integration with our frontend systems.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement backend services using Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure smooth integration and functionality.
Participate in agile development processes, contributing to iterative improvements.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the backend systems.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development
.
Experience with legacy Java technologies, including
JSP (pages and scriptlets)
and
Servlets
.
Hands-on experience working with legacy codebases and refactoring them.
Experience with relational databases, preferably
Oracle
.
Familiarity with
Liquibase
for database version control.
Experience with
GitLab
and
ArgoCD
(or similar CI/CD tools).
Familiarity with agile practices.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Upper-Intermediate level of English
Nice to have: basic knowledge of German
