We are looking for a
Staff Engineer
who will help us design and evolve scalable, reliable, and elegant systems —
with a strong focus on data, architecture, and long-term engineering excellence.
This role is for someone who doesn’t just write code, but shapes technical direction, elevates engineering standards, and drives impact through systems and data quality.
What you bring
3+ years of experience as a Tech Lead, working with teams of
mid-level
engineers
5+ years of experience as a Full-stack Engineer at a strong senior level
Strong hands-on experience with:
— JavaScript / TypeScript

React

— PostgreSQL
— Testing frameworks (e.g. Vitest)
Strong focus on:
— beauty and simplicity in code
— clean, maintainable architecture
— long-term system scalability
Leadership & mindset
Leadership through ownership rather than control
Experience conducting 1:1s and mentoring engineers
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Product mindset — understanding the why behind the work
Proactive in identifying problems and driving improvements
Adaptable and eager to grow with the product and team
Nice to have
OpenTelemetry / observability experience
ClickHouse or other analytical databases
AWS / cloud infrastructure experience
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, HashiCorp stack)
What you’ll do
Design, build, and maintain scalable systems with a strong focus on data, performance, and quality
Own complex initiatives in: data governance, analytics and internal tooling
Improve data pipelines, system observability, and developer experience
Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to turn data into actionable insights
Build and evolve internal platforms and tools used across the company
Lead and mentor engineers while shaping technical direction and engineering standards

Team’s location: Ukraine&Europe
There are functional, product, and platform teams and each has its own ownership, and line structure, and teams themselves decide when to have weekly meetings.
There are cycles of 8 weeks and teams can be mixed.
Engineers are involved in all parts every two months to work on different things.

Salary: up to $7460 gross, depending on the level of each candidate

Cooperation on a B2B basis / Gig-contract
Contract with the US-based company (no VAT)
After a year of working with the company, you can buy a certain number of company’s shares
Around 30 days of vacation (unlimited, but let’s keep it reasonable )
