About the Role
Client is developing a SaaS platform for the inspection and analysis of engineering structures based on large-scale 3D data.
We are looking for a Senior 3D Web Engineer to strengthen our team and take ownership of advanced 3D visualization challenges, including the integration of next-generation rendering technologies such as WebGPU.
You will work on a production system built on LuciadRIA, handling complex datasets with high demands on performance, scalability, and precision.
Your Responsibilities
Develop and optimize web-based 3D visualization features within our platform
Work with and extend our LuciadRIA-based 3D engine
Design and implement high-performance rendering pipelines using WebGPU
Handle large-scale datasets (e.g. photogrammetry, point clouds, meshes)
Improve rendering performance, memory usage, and responsiveness
Collaborate with frontend and backend developers (Angular, Node.js, TypeScript)
Contribute to architectural decisions and guide less experienced developers
Tech Stack
3D Engine: LuciadRIA
Frontend: TypeScript, Angular
Backend: Node.js
Infrastructure: GitLab, PostgreSQL, S3-compatible storage
Required Skills
Strong JavaScript skills
Solid understanding of 3D fundamentals
Experience with at least one 3D framework (LuciadRIA preferred)
Strong experience in web-based 3D visualization using WebGPU
Proven experience with real-time 3D rendering in the browser
Experience optimizing performance in large or complex 3D scenes
Preferred Skills
Backend experience (Node.js) and data integration
Experience with geospatial 3D systems or large coordinate spaces
Experience with photogrammetry, point clouds, or mesh processing pipelines
Experience with Gaussian Splatting or similar rendering techniques
