About the Role
We are looking for an experienced KDB+ Developer to join a financial services project focused on real-time market data, analytics, and reporting platforms.
This is a 12-month contract with extension potential, based in London, UK, with a hybrid working model requiring 3 days onsite per week.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize KDB+/q solutions.
Build and support real-time market data and analytics platforms.
Work with large-scale time-series datasets.
Improve system performance, scalability, and latency.
Collaborate with technical teams in an Agile environment.
Required Experience
8+ years of commercial KDB+ development experience.
Strong expertise in q programming.
Experience with TP, RDB, and HDB architectures.
Solid understanding of time-series databases and market data environments.
Experience with performance tuning and scalable system design.
Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
Nice to Have
Financial services, trading, or investment banking experience.
Exposure to Equities, FX, Futures, or Derivatives markets.
Experience with Kafka or Solace.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
