Digis is seeking a Senior Scala Engineer to join our remote team.

About the Project
The client is a global B2B technology company that provides high-performance platforms for CRM, Payment Gateway, and other products.
They build advanced technology solutions for one of the most dynamic and high-load industries in the market.
This is a long-term project focused on further development, scaling, and optimization of backend systems that process large volumes of real-time transaction.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services using Scala.
Work with Akka Streams / Apache Pekko.
Build and optimize microservices handling high transaction volumes.
Integrate third-party payment providers, and cryptocurrency payment methods.
Improve transaction processing performance and reduce API latency.
Implement audit logging, event sourcing, monitoring, and distributed tracing.
Write, test, debug, and maintain high-quality code.
Participate in code reviews and collaborate with the Tech Lead, developers, QA, and other team members.
Maintain and update technical documentation.
Requirements
5+ years
of overall professional software development experience.
3+ years
of experience with Scala.
2+ years
of experience with Akka Streams or Apache Pekko.
Experience with high-load backend systems or microservices.
English B1+ and above.
