Senior Solution Architect
Project overview
This project focuses on building a next generation legal intelligence platform that delivers a scalable and trusted data foundation for the legal market. It combines automated data ingestion, AI powered enrichment, and human in the loop validation to ensure high quality insights for external users and internal analysts. The platform supports data driven decision making across lawyers, firms, deals, rankings, salaries, and career movements.
Team
You will collaborate with cross functional teams including frontend developers, backend engineers, data engineers, AI specialists, and operations or editorial teams. The team follows a collaborative approach with shared ownership of architecture decisions and system quality.
Position overview
We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect to lead the end to end architecture of a complex, data intensive platform. You will define system design across frontend, backend, AI modules, and data pipelines, ensuring scalability, reliability, and data integrity. This position involves working in the US time zone and is subject to a background check.
Technology stack
React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL RDS, Amazon S3, Python, OpenAI API, AWS cloud services, Strapi CMS, Vercel, CI CD pipelines, logging monitoring and tracing tools
Responsibilities
Own and evolve the end to end architecture across frontend, backend, data pipelines, AI modules, and infrastructure
Design system architecture connecting the data layer, API services, AI components, and external data providers into a scalable pipeline
Define API contracts and orchestration patterns between backend services and frontend applications
Guide the design of data ingestion pipelines to ensure reliable and normalized data processing
Collaborate with AI and ML engineers to establish integration patterns for enrichment, extraction, classification, and estimation workflows
Establish standards for scalability, data integrity, and validation workflows involving human review processes
Lead technical design reviews and produce architecture decision documentation and system diagrams
Evaluate technologies and integration approaches for external services and third party providers
Identify architectural risks and performance bottlenecks and drive resolution strategies
Prepare and evolve release strategies aligned with business and platform requirements
Mentor engineering teams on architecture practices, code quality, and cross system integration
Act as the primary technical point of contact for architecture related decisions
Requirements
Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Software Architect on production grade, data intensive platforms
Strong experience with Node.js and NestJS for backend architecture design
Strong experience with React and Next.js including server side rendering and routing
Experience with TypeScript across frontend and backend
Experience designing RESTful APIs and service orchestration patterns including authentication and authorization
Experience integrating backend systems with CMS platforms such as Strapi
Strong understanding of relational data modeling using PostgreSQL RDS and object storage such as S3
Experience designing systems that integrate with Python based AI or ML services and OpenAI API
Experience with data ingestion pipelines including scrapers or workers and ensuring data quality at scale
Experience with AWS cloud services and distributed system design
Knowledge of microservices or service oriented architecture and event driven design
Experience designing CI CD pipelines and implementing observability practices such as logging monitoring and tracing
Understanding of security best practices for sensitive or regulated data environments
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross functional teams
English level upper intermediate or higher for client communication
Availability to work in the US time zone and willingness to undergo a background check
Nice to have
Experience working with legal, financial, or other regulated data domains
Experience designing human in the loop validation workflows
Knowledge of advanced data governance and data quality frameworks
Experience evaluating and integrating external data providers and partner systems
