QA System Lead
We are looking for a
QA System Lead
to join our Kyiv office and become a key part of a cross-country engineering organization. In this role, you will combine people management with strong coordination of QA practices in
3Shape Unite
project.
You will lead two teams (for now 6 colleagues in total) and act as a QA Lead for a large-scale project involving 10+ test engineers. Your focus will be on enabling collaboration, aligning testing approaches, including automation tests, and ensuring consistency in quality across multiple development teams.
Areas of responsibility:
Lead and support teammates, including coaching, mentorship, and continuous feedback
Drive hiring & onboarding for your team
Facilitate alignment on testing approaches across multiple team
Coordinate QA-related activities across the projec
Contribute to the Test strategy together with stakeholder
Ensure consistency of QA processes, practices, and standard
Provide even better connection between QA, development, product, and release teams etc.
To succeed in your role, you should possess the following skills and competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
5+ years of professional experience in software development as a QA Lead or relevant roles (Test Manager, Quality Manager etc.)
Proven people management experience
Strong experience defining and implementing end-to-end QA strategies across the SDLC, including Shift-Left practices
Strong focus on test coverage monitoring, defect management, and root cause analysis
Solid knowledge of test pyramid principles (unit, integration, UI) and their practical implementation in modern systems
Strong experience in non-functional testing (performance, resilience, compatibility etc.)
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Experience of working in cross-team and cross-location environments
Fluent English
Would be a plus:
Experience with document management systems (Jama, SharePoint or similar)
Knowledge of modern engineering practices such as DevOps and Continuous Delivery
Experience introducing quality gates and release governance processes
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed systems
