Sumix
is a leading company in end-face testing equipment for fiber-optic connectors. We are developing opto-electronic devices for fiber-optic connector end-face measurement and visual inspection. We are seeking for talented Optical engineer to engage in our existing and new coming projects.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Optical schemes design (objectives, illumination schemes)
Tolerances calculation/analysis of optical schemes and components
Analysis/review of calculated optical schemes (prepared by other specialists)
Drawings and documentation for production preparing (drawings of optical parts and schemes)
Review of drawings prepared by other specialists
Communication with optics manufacturers (questions about drawings and finished parts
Control of received optical parts
Cooperation with other departments during assembling and adjusting of the device (assembling department, programmers, metrologists)
Direct involvement in solving problems during assembling and adjusting of the device
Required Skills and Experience:
Master’s degree in Physics, Optics, instrument making industry
3+ years of experience in optical engineering, optical modelling and simulation, including tolerance analysis (e.g., Zemax, Ansys or equivalent, CAD environment)
Experimental background, including hands-on laboratory work
Skill to work in team
Self motivation
