We are seeking a Systems IT & Automation Engineer to manage and optimize our technical environment. This role focuses on supporting BIM software systems, maintaining a secure and efficient Microsoft 365 environment, and improving operations through automation and system integrations.
Key Responsibilities
BIM & Software Systems
Support and troubleshoot Autodesk tools (Revit, Navisworks, ACC)
Manage and maintain Revit plugins and software environments
Optimize BIM performance (model handling, worksharing, sync issues)
Standardize software versions and workflows across teams
Microsoft 365 Administration
Manage Microsoft 365 tenant (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, groups)
Create and manage users, licenses, mailboxes, and permissions
Configure shared mailboxes, distribution lists, and access controls
Maintain Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive environments for collaboration
Identity, Security & Compliance
Administer Entra ID (Azure AD): user provisioning, SSO, MFA, RBAC
Implement conditional access, least-privilege access, and secure onboarding/offboarding
Manage security tools (Defender for Office 365, Defender for Endpoint)
Apply DLP, retention policies, and sensitivity labels across M365
Monitor system activity, alerts, and investigate suspicious behavior
Endpoint & BYOD Management
Manage devices using Microsoft Intune across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android
Configure compliance policies, app deployment, and device restrictions
Enforce standards in a BYOD environment using conditional access and security controls
Hardware & Performance
Define and enforce minimum hardware requirements for BIM work
Evaluate and approve team member devices prior to onboarding
Advise on workstation builds and performance optimization (CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD)
Automation & Integrations
Automate workflows using PowerShell, Python, Power Automate, or APIs
Build and maintain integrations across internal systems (Autodesk, ERP, HRMS, etc.)
Reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency
Monitoring, Support & Maintenance
Monitor system health, service status, and respond to outages or issues
Provide L1/L2 technical support with priority on production-impacting issues
Perform routine maintenance, updates, and system reviews
Documentation & Systems Implementation
Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and internal documentation
Lead implementation and rollout of new tools (HRMS, ERP, internal systems)
Ensure proper setup, configuration, and user adoption
Requirements
Experience with Autodesk tools (Revit, Navisworks, or similar)
Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD), MFA, conditional access, and RBAC
Experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management
Knowledge of Microsoft security tools (Defender, DLP, retention policies)
Strong understanding of Windows systems and computer hardware
Experience with PowerShell and/or scripting for automation
Experience with APIs and system integrations
Basic networking knowledge (DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls)
Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
Preferred
Experience in AEC, BIM, or engineering environments
Experience managing BYOD or remote teams
Microsoft certifications (M365, Intune, Security, or Identity)
