We are looking for an experienced
Project Manager
to join our team for a government project in Oman. The project is focused on modernization of IT infrastructure and migration of critical systems for the National Records Center of the Royal Oman Police.
The project involves large-scale modernization of the existing IT infrastructure, including migration of legacy systems and databases to a new high-performance platform.
The role involves long-term business trips or partial relocation to Oman.
Overview
We are seeking a Project Delivery Manager to oversee delivery streams, safeguard outcomes, and manage all acceptance processes with the customer.
The Project Delivery Manager will:
Analyze, document and deliver proper documentation, project results, and gaine formal acceptance
Coordinate and drive the work of technical teams (infrastructure, DBA, development)
Effectively communicate with the customer and key stakeholders
Effectively and proactively engage the project team of engineers at every stage of the project
Manage project risks, dependencies, and constraints
Meet delivery timelines, scope, and quality guardrails
Responsibilities
Act as the main point of contact with the customer (in English)
Oversee project delivery: ensure outcomes are tracked, documented, and formally accepted
Coordinate the work of technical teams (infrastructure, DBA, development)
Manage project scope, timelines, and deliverables in accordance with contractual obligations
Support and shield delivery team members by resolving issues, clarifying scope, and ensuring all required inputs are available
Ensure deadlines, budgets, and delivery scope are met, taking proactive measures to guarantee successful delivery
Manage project risks, dependencies, and constraints
Prepare project reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Ensure effective communication between technical teams and customer stakeholders
Be available for long-term onsite visits with recurring business trips to
Muscat, Oman
Must-Have Qualifications
3+ years of experience in IT/software project management
Proven experience managing delivery processes with clear acceptance and reporting requirements
Familiarity with Agile processes (Scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement)
Strong client communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience managing contractual acceptance processes (documentation deliverables, timelines, and scope)
Proficiency with Jira and other project management tools
English proficiency sufficient for direct communication with customer representatives
Great Advantage
Experience working with clients from the Middle East region (understanding regional specifics and communication nuances)
Certification: PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or Scrum Master / Product Owner
Proven ability to drive full-scale IT projects once they are initiated
Practical experience with infrastructure migrations project is a huge advantage
