Description
Remote | Full-Time | SaaS Product Team
About Us
We’re a remote-first product company building cutting-edge, customer-facing SaaS tools. Our team is compact, cross-functional, and highly autonomous — engineers own features end-to-end.
We value initiative, clean architecture, and team members who thrive on solving real problems and quickly becoming indispensable.
The Role
We are looking for a Product Owner to join our team and take ownership of the product backlog, roadmap, and delivery process. You will work closely with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to define priorities, shape requirements, and ensure the team is always building the right things.
You will be the bridge between the business and the development team — translating strategy into actionable user stories, managing trade-offs, and keeping everyone aligned on goals and progress.
You will also collaborate closely with Marketing and Legal teams — aligning product releases with go-to-market plans, ensuring compliance requirements are captured early, and keeping cross-functional stakeholders informed throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
· Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it reflects business goals and team capacity
· Define and communicate a clear product roadmap to all stakeholders
· Write and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and feature specifications
· Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives in collaboration with the engineering team
· Act as the primary point of contact between development, design, marketing, and legal teams
· Work with Marketing to align product releases with campaigns and go-to-market strategies
· Partner with Legal to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements are identified and addressed early
· Gather and analyze feedback from users, stakeholders, and data to inform prioritization decisions
· Monitor product performance post-release and drive continuous improvement
· Remove blockers and make timely decisions to keep the team moving forward
Must-Have Skills
· 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager
· Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
· Proven ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria
· Experience managing and prioritizing a product backlog
· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
· Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and legal teams
· Analytical mindset — comfortable working with data to support prioritization decisions
· Experience working with GitLab — issues, milestones, epics, and merge request workflows
· Comfortable using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to accelerate research, writing, and analysis
· Understanding of how AI/ML features are scoped, built, and delivered in a product context
Nice-to-Have
· Experience in industry —fintech, security
· Experience with payment systems — payment flows, PSP integrations, checkout optimization, or fintech regulations
· Experience working on subscription-based products — billing cycles, churn reduction, plan management, or trial flows
· Familiarity with UX/UI principles and ability to collaborate closely with designers
· Experience working with data analytics tools (e.g. Mixpanel, Amplitude, Looker)
· Background in or exposure to legal/compliance-heavy product environments
· Experience shipping AI-powered features or working on
ML-driven
products
· Contributions to product discovery — user interviews, prototyping, A/B testing
· Familiarity with API-first or platform products
Work Culture & Values
· Scout Rule: Leave things better than you found them
· Pragmatic approach: Guided by real outcomes, not dogma
· Agile mindset: Iterate fast, adapt smart
· Real talk: Honest estimates, clear boundaries, no “yes-men”
· Follow-through: Take notes, follow up, finish what you start
· Async collaboration: Respect for focus, minimal meetings
· Blameless culture: Mistakes = opportunities to improve
· Clear ownership: We use RACI to define who is Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed — so every initiative has a clear owner and no one is left guessing
Benefits
· Competitive salary with regular, transparent reviews
· Remote & async work style
· Direct access to decision-makers for fast feedback
· 20 vacation days + fair sick-leave policy
· Clear growth framework and access to senior mentoring
· Modern, serverless tech stack (you’ll love it!)
· Healthy, high-performing team in a fast-growing SaaS space
