Description
We are looking for a
Head of Python Department
— a strong technical leader who will be responsible for the development of the Python direction, architectural decisions, technical delivery, and involvement in presale activities.
This role requires close collaboration with engineering teams, management, and clients to build scalable and high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and grow the Python Department
• Participate in system architecture design and technical decision-making
• Estimate projects, plan delivery, and assess technical feasibility
• Take part in presale processes and communication with potential clients
• Analyze business requirements and transform them into technical solutions
• Ensure high-quality delivery and engineering standards
• Mentor and develop Python engineers
• Collaborate with PM, Delivery teams and stakeholders
• Contribute to scaling engineering processes and best practices
Requirements:
• 8+ years of commercial experience with Python
• Experience in leadership roles
• Solid experience in backend development and software architecture design
• Experience designing scalable systems
• Proficiency in Python and backend development, with experience working with FastAPI, Django, Flask, microservices architecture, REST APIs, relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB), containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), as well as cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong expertise with AI/LLM solutions
• Experience with project estimation and technical discovery
• Involvement in presale processes
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• English level — Upper-Intermediate+
