Description
Ciklum
is looking for a
Senior Data Analyst
to join our team full-time in Ukraine.
We are a custom product engineering company that supports both multinational organizations and scaling startups to solve their most complex business challenges. With a global team of over 4,000 highly skilled developers, consultants, analysts and product owners, we engineer technology that redefines industries and shapes the way people live.
About the role:
As a Senior Data Analyst, an experienced data professional who excels in analyzing production data for quality and insight, driving improvements and informing strategic decisions, you’ll partner with Observability Engineers, ML Scientists, Data Engineering, and DevOps to turn raw telemetry into intelligence.
The Client is changing the way organizations protect their data-centers and clouds from advanced threats. Our team boasts some of the most talented and experienced cybersecurity and data center experts. We’re always looking for new people to inspire us and make us better.
We’re seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join the Micro-Segmentation AI/ML Platform team. In this role, you will lead data analysis efforts—ensuring data quality, cataloging, and governance—while delivering actionable insights that drive strategic decisions in network security and segmentation.
We’re a dynamic team building the next-generation micro-segmentation platform at the intersection of AI/ML and network security. Our solution helps enterprises automatically classify, monitor, and enforce fine-grained policies across millions of flows—reducing attack surfaces and accelerating incident response.
Responsibilities:
Business Intelligence & Reporting
Collaborate with stakeholders (security, product, operations) to define key metrics and reporting requirements
Design, build, and maintain BI dashboards that surface ingestion health, policy effectiveness, and segmentation drift
Continuously refine reports and visualizations (Grafana, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI) to meet evolving needs
Data Analysis & Insights
Analyze large-scale flow logs, policy-violation records, and asset inventories to uncover trends and anomalies
Lead deep-dive investigations—e.g., correlating configuration changes to incident rates or unexpected segmentation gaps
Ensure all ETL pipelines (Airflow-orchestrated Spark jobs) deliver accurate, timely data
Data Quality & Governance
Define and enforce data-quality rules (schema validation, de-duplication, anomaly detection)
Maintain a comprehensive data catalog with lineage tracking
Partner with Data Engineering to automate quality checks and metadata capture
Collaboration & Communication
Present complex analyses in clear, concise reports to both technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics is desirable
5+ years in data analysis or BI—ideally within network security, cloud operations, or a SOC environment
Very strong proficiency with SQL, including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, and performance tuning
Deep experience with Spark (PySpark/Scala) and Python data libraries (pandas, NumPy)
Comfortable building and maintaining ETL pipelines (Airflow, Bash, Python)
Hands-on with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Grafana) and dashboard best practices
Strong statistical analysis skills: hypothesis testing, regression, clustering, anomaly detection
Experience defining and tracking KPIs and SLAs; able to translate business questions into measurable metrics
Good understanding of data lake and lakehouse concepts, partitioning, and performant storage formats (Parquet, Delta)
Familiarity with data catalog/governance platforms (Apache Atlas, DataHub) and Git for schema/version control
Skilled in data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment techniques to ensure high-quality inputs
Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work under ambiguity
Exceptional communication skills—able to translate complex data into actionable business insights in English
What’s in it for you?
Strong community: Work alongside top professionals in a friendly, open-door environment
Growth focus: Take on large-scale projects with a global impact and expand your expertise
Tailored learning: Boost your skills with internal events (meetups, conferences, workshops), Udemy access, language courses, and company-paid certifications
Endless opportunities: Explore diverse domains through internal mobility, finding the best fit to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies
Flexibility: Enjoy radical flexibility — work remotely or from an office, your choice
Care: We’ve got you covered with company-paid medical insurance, mental health support, and financial & legal consultations
