Data Analyst (AWS QuickSight / PostgreSQL / ClickHouse)
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Analyst to transform data into actionable insights that support business decision-making. This role is highly analytical and BI-oriented, with a strong focus on SQL, data modeling, and dashboard development in cloud-based environments.
The project focuses on building analytical reports and dashboards in AWS QuickSight. The current data source is ClickHouse, while the client is gradually migrating to PostgreSQL, where a new reporting and aggregation layer will be developed.
The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, analyze complex data structures, and contribute to scalable and high-quality reporting solutions.
Important
This role is primarily focused on analytics and BI. Python development, ETL implementation, deployment activities, and database migration are not the core responsibilities of this position.
Responsibilities
Analyze the client’s data structure and understand the business logic behind analytical reports
Create, update, and configure dashboards and reports in AWS QuickSight
Analyze existing tables in ClickHouse and PostgreSQL to identify missing data or structures required for the reporting layer
Design and prepare scalable data models for the aggregation layer in PostgreSQL
Develop DDL scripts for creating new fact tables, including DemandFactTables
Develop DML scripts for incremental data transfer between PostgreSQL schemas
Validate reporting requirements and identify technical limitations within QuickSight
Collaborate directly with the client during daily standups and requirement discussions
Work with Jira tickets and adapt solutions as requirements evolve
Coordinate with the client’s technical team responsible for ClickHouse → PostgreSQL migration and staging table preparation
Requirements
Experience & Background
Proven commercial experience in Data Analysis, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams
Experience working with cloud-based solutions and modern data platforms
Technical Skills
Advanced SQL expertise with a strong focus on PostgreSQL:
Experience designing and maintaining scalable data models, including:
Experience with ClickHouse or other column-oriented databases is a strong plus
Familiarity with BI and visualization tools such as AWS QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI
Experience with Enterprise Architect tools is considered a plus
Communication & Collaboration
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions
Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
